    World Scholar's Cup

On Friday 5th and Saturday 6th February, Brighton College hosted the Abu Dhabi round of the World Scholar’s Cup competition. During the weekend, more than 100 teams from schools all over Abu Dhabi competed in various categories, including team debate, collaborative writing, the Scholar’s Bowl (solving analytic and multimedia questions) and the Scholar’s Challenge (a multiple choice quiz across six academic disciplines). Brighton’s 13 teams did fantastically well and all pupils should be congratulated on their dedication and focus, especially as the competition fell so close to Exam Week. In addition to the academic demands of the competition a Scholar’s Show also took place, where several Brighton pupils showed off their talents in singing, dancing and human puppetry! The whole staff team were delighted with the results, and are extremely proud of all the pupils’ achievements.
