    High Scorers Music Concert

It has been another highly successful year for the Music Department, with 100% pass rate achieved from the seventy pupils taking instrumental and singing examinations during the summer term. The September High Scorers’ concert celebrated their success and show-cased the pupils who scored the best mark for their instrument and grade at Brighton College. With these pupils having all accomplished merits and distinctions, with some even got close to full marks, the theatre was packed with an eager audience of parents, staff and pupils!

The concert traced the progression from beginner to proficient performer as we heard from initial through to grade 8 examination performances from Prep School to Year 13. Some of the pupils performed solos on the stage for the very first time whilst others were familiar faces, but each and every performance was delivered with enthusiasm, flair and a clear sense of enjoyment. The dedication, determination and sheer hard work these pupils have shown in their instrumental studies is certainly something to be celebrated. The concert ran with slick professionalism and the pupils were clearly proud of their achievements.

Huge thanks to the Music Department, Instrumental teaching staff and Ioannis Potamousis for accompanying the pupils and everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this an impressive and memorable first Athena event of the academic year.
