Arabic A Level enables pupils to further develop an understanding of the language in a variety of contexts, the ability to communicate effectively in Arabic, and knowledge of its vocabulary and structures, as well as transferable language learning skills. At A Level pupils will gain an understanding of how to use the language in a variety of situations. They will be expected to handle texts and other source materials, extracting information in order to respond to specific tasks. Through their studies, learners can expect to achieve greater fluency, accuracy and confidence in the language. They will also learn how to translate material from English into Arabic.

Further Study: Pupils who are required to sit the Ministry of Education Arabic language exams for non-native speakers would benefit from electign to study Arabic A Level. Naturally anyone who believes they may wish to study in the Middle East or work here at a later date would also benefit from studying Arabic A Level. Since it is a minority subject in the UK anyone applying to a UK university with Arabic A Level is likely to attract extra attention esspecially if they are applying to read a linguistics degree.
