Our Pre-Prep Library plays a central role in the life of Pre-Prep. Every class enjoys a weekly visit to the Library where the children enjoy browsing and sharing books with each other as well as learning early Library skills and listening to stories. A library lending system is operated so that children can take books home each week.

In addition we have a team of parent volunteers who help us in the Library and operate a weekly timetable that allows parents to come in and borrow books of their choice to take home to share with their children. This popular time is also a time for parents to meet and chat and share ideas that have been useful in supporting their children as they develop a love of reading.

Our library also plays host to a number of ‘Story Time’ sessions where parents and children meet to listen to stories being read. On different days these story times often feature books in other languages such as Spanish for those families who wish to keep the profile of their mother tongue high.
