The Pre-Prep School at Brighton College Abu Dhabi educates children aged 3 to 7 (from FS1 to Year 2). It sets strong foundations, both pastorally and academically, and values every child. Our school motto, like Brighton College, UK, is ‘Be Good, Be Kind, Be Honest’. We place tremendous value on these qualities and spend time with our pupils instilling good manners and ensuring that they have an opportunity to discuss and understand their feelings and emotions and develop respect for the beliefs and viewpoints of others.
We have a robust curriculum that supports the development of strong Personal, Social and Emotional skills that is further enhanced by our ‘Values’ program of study. We take pride that as pupils progress through Pre Prep they acquire and develop the skills and knowledge that will enable them to make a positive contribution both within Brighton College Abu Dhabi and the wider world in which we live.
Our Pre-Prep School teachers take pride in their commitment to provide a safe and nurturing environment that gives every child individual attention and support and ensures that all our pupils thrive and are able to achieve their personal best. We set ourselves extremely high standards in all that we do and are proud of the fact that we; ‘Step out of the ordinary’ with many of the big projects and events that we facilitate. Each class has their own teacher and Teaching and Learning Assistant who work together to ensure the well-being of every child in their class.
Each year group has its own team of six classes led by the Head of Year, ensuring that the specific needs of each cohort are met. Each class has their own teacher and Teaching and Learning Assistant who work together to ensure the well-being of every child in their class.
Our aim in the Pre-Prep School is to establish a partnership with parents that is built on trust and mutual respect. We welcome parents into the classroom at the beginning of each day, at planned sessions throughout the week, and on specific theme days. We keep parents up to date with their child’s progress, with the opportunity to chat briefly at drop off and pick-up alongside termly parent-teacher meetings and reports.
